In our industry, there are strict rules. Keep it fast, keep it static, and never autoplay sound. But for this project, we realised those rules simply do not matter. A wedding is not about conversion rates; it is about emotion. We intentionally ignored the "best practices" to build a digital experience that prioritises feeling over function.

Setting
The Mood

We want the site to feel like a memory before the event even starts. We bypassed modern browser restrictions with a "Click to Enter" gateway that instantly syncs music and timed lyrics to the user's arrival. It is not just a landing page; it is a digital serenade that encapsulates the couple's relationship and sets a loving tone the moment you arrive.

Removing
The Admin

Nobody likes filling out forms, especially for a party. We built a custom Drupal module to strip away that friction. Guests receive a unique invite PIN, and the system does the rest—loading their profile with names and details already pre-filled. It turns a tedious RSVP process into a personal welcome, making the guest feel accounted for rather than just processed.

Capturing
The Moment

We refused to let this day get lost in an Instagram algorithm. We built a custom "Live Photos" feature that allows guests to upload high-resolution images and video in real-time. It gives everyone at the wedding a live feed of the love in the room, and ensures the grooms walk away with the actual high-quality files, not just compressed screenshots.
