The Nature Of Trust

Structuring
The Unknown
Starting a project with limited information is a risk, especially for an organisation transitioning to a UK National Register. We did not wait for the final text to dictate the build. Instead, we engineered a robust content architecture in Drupal 11 capable of handling the weight of professional standards and policy documents before they even arrived. We turned a potential bottleneck into a flexible framework, allowing AAHEP to scale their knowledge base without breaking the design.
Mapping
The Expertise
A standard list is insufficient for finding a local specialist. We wanted to make expertise visible. We developed a bespoke map integration that transforms the database into an interactive discovery tool. Users can visually scan their region or filter by specific practice roles to locate accredited animal, horticultural, and equine practitioners. It bridges the gap between a client's need and a local expert instantly.
Decentralising
The Control
Keeping a nationwide directory up to date is an administrative nightmare if left to a central team. We shifted the power to the practitioners. We built a custom profile management system where accredited members can log in to update their own bios, practice info, and contact details. This ensures the data remains fresh and accurate while drastically reducing the daily admin burden on the association staff.
Protecting
The Public
For an accrediting body, trust is the only currency. The site serves as the digital source of truth for the industry, specifically designed to "protect the public" and "build confidence". We designed the user journey to clearly highlight accreditation status and professional standards, ensuring that anyone browsing the register knows exactly who they are hiring. It is not just a website; it is a verification engine.
